Dear Music Educator,

We want to thank you for your commitment to music education. Without it, programs like ours would not have thrived for over 40 years! Our goal is to broaden the student’s experience and repertoire, and in return, we hope that their involvement with DYS builds a finer musician.

Dearborn Youth Symphony was thrilled to be back this year and we are continuing to grow our membership! We had a great season and we are making plans for another exciting year. During this past year we had professors from three large universities work with our musicians, as well as frequent visits from Maestro Jarvi of the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra. We were also able to award 16 scholarships to our participants.

Beyond our high-caliber musicianship, DYS members and their families have chosen our program for the following reasons:

  • Affordable tuition
  • Monday evening rehearsals
  • Venue (Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn)
  • Mentor program
  • Scholarship, solo and concerto opportunities
  • Perform with talented musicians from all over Metro Detroit

Our in person auditions are on May 23rd and 25th at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. Musicians can sign up for an audition by completing this document, and they can also get more information about auditions by visiting our website.
